Day 1 – Free day in Sydney /Overnight bus – Sydney to Spot X
Get ready to kick off your adventure with a bang! Join the crew for a lively welcome dinner at Scary Canary’s, setting the stage for an epic journey ahead. After dinner, head to our WTC orientation room, where our enthusiastic WTC Staff will guide you through your itinerary for the next 35 days along the East Coast – a truly once-in-a-lifetime trip. This session is not just about schedules; it’s your golden opportunity to connect with the awesome travel buddies who will join you on this epic journey. After the orientation, hop on the overnight bus, gearing up for a spirited journey to the fun-filled Spot X. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!
Day 2 – Spot X surf camp; Surf lesson & Kangaroo Trek
Today marks the kick-off of your 3-day surf adventure as we arrive bright and early at Spot X Surf Camp, nestled somewhere between Sydney and Coffs Harbour, south of Byron Bay. Positioned right on the beachfront, Spot X is a haven dedicated to the surf lifestyle, situated in a National Marine Park that showcases the beauty of Australia’s coastal regions. Upon your early arrival, drop your bags and dive into the refreshing waves for a swim to kick off the day. Lunch will be served at midday, and after checking in, it’s time for your first exhilarating surf lesson. Return, kick back, and then embark on a unique kangaroo trek, exploring the coastal bushland around Arrawarra. Witness resident kangaroos and their joeys in their natural habitat, passing by Indigenous midden sites with fossilized shells. Cap off the day with a hearty dinner followed by hanging out around the campfire, enjoying a couple of cold ones (or “frothies”). It’s a perfect way to wind down and share stories under the stars at Spot X Surf Camp.
Day 3 – Spot X surf camp; Surf lesson & Ocean rafting / Kayaking
Rise and shine, surf tribe! Catch the epic beachfront sunrise, and fuel up with brekkie at 7 am – gotta prep for round two of epic surf vibes. After shredding the waves, kick it beachside or sprawl on the grass or hammocks, just soaking up those sun-soaked feels.
After lunch, put on your swimwear – we’re heading back to the surf for some thrilling rafting action. Alternatively, if the swell is too intense, we’ll opt for a more relaxing kayak down the river. Then, it’s free ride time! Grab your board whenever the stroke hits, and we’ll reconvene for a gnarly dinner sesh. Cap the day with frothies, good company, and tales of epic rides. It’s the surfer’s paradise rhythm at Spot X, where every wave tells a story, and every sunset’s a call to chill.
Day 4 – Spot X surf camp; Surf lesson & Cultural experience
Day three at Spot X brings another dose of Aussie surf vibes, and you’re riding the waves like a seasoned pro! Fuel up for the day with a laid-back brekkie at 7 am – because every epic surf day starts with a hearty meal. Following breakfast, gear up for your final surf lesson, the ultimate chance to polish those Aussie surfer skills and soak in the exhilaration of the ocean. Today’s adventure at Spot X Surf Camp goes beyond the waves, as we introduce a unique cultural experience.
Embark on an immersive journey through millennia of cultural history with a captivating beach and bush walk in the pristine marine and national parks of Arrawarra. Guided by the esteemed Garby elders, this experience promises to be both historical and entertaining, providing valuable insights into the ancestral connection between the people and the landscape. Discover traditional knowledge through a warm welcome to country and an educational session on the Garby wadjar.
The overarching vision is to foster the conservation of language, culture, history, land, and stories in this pristine location through an informative and engaging encounter. Witness the thriving native animals in their natural habitat, from kangaroos and echidnas to reptiles and marine life.
Immerse yourself in the profound relationship between indigenous peoples and the local land and sea. Gain insights into bush tucker and the traditional use of bush medicine, sustaining the Garby people for thousands of years. This cultural exploration aims to promote understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the rich heritage embedded in this extraordinary landscape, creating a day filled with both adventure and cultural enrichment.
Day 5 – Spot X to Byron Bay
Bid farewell to the iconic Aussie surf haven at Spot X, leaving with newfound surf skills, and hop on the bus headed for the renowned Byron Bay. Upon arrival at the bus station, the Meet Me tour leader for Byron will welcome you, leading the way to the iconic Arts Factory, your home for the next couple of nights. Once checked in, dive into the Arts Factory’s unique culture. Your Meet Me tour leader will walk you through the exciting Byron itinerary.
Your adventure in Byron Bay will start like no other with an authentic Aussie energy boost as you meet our guru, Cockatoo Paul, who leads his renowned Bush Tucker Walk around the Arts Factory. Immerse yourself in authentic Australian bush survival skills, learning tricks like extracting water from a tree, turning plants into sunscreen, and more. Cockatoo Paul also delves into the basics of our native flora and fauna, providing a fascinating insight into Australia’s unique natural environment.
After the Bush Tucker Walk, we’ll head down to Apex Park for some laid-back tunes. Feel free to bring your own snacks or grab some takeout from one of Byron’s many delicious restaurants. Get ready for a truly memorable Byron Bay experience!!
Day 6 – Byron Bay; Yoga, Fire by Friction, Byron walking tour
Wake up to a relaxing guided yoga with our in-house guide. Relax amongst the serenity and ready yourself for a relaxing day in Byron Bay.
After Yoga take part in the Fire by Friction workshop in this workshop you will learn a unique fire-starting method, a life skill that may save your life one day!
This afternoon, you’ll be hanging out with your Local Meet Me Byron leader. Join the group as you stroll through the lively streets of Byron, soaking in the tunes of street musicians. We’ll then venture on the famous lighthouse walk, taking in the spectacular views. Cap off the day with some chill time at Byron Bay beach, where you can unwind and bask in the coastal vibes. Cheers to a day filled with adventure and good vibes!

Day 7 – Byron Bay; Yoga, bush tucker walk, Kayaking
The morning is yours to explore Byron your way, whether it’s immersing yourself in the Arts Factory culture, relaxing by the pool, or venturing into town.
In the afternoon, embark on a sea kayaking adventure, paddling through the surf to ride some of Australia’s most famous Byron Bay waves.
Experience an up-close encounter with friendly Bottlenose Dolphins, witness the grace of Sea Turtles as they surface for a breath, and marvel at the majestic Humpback Whales during their migration (May-Nov). Conclude the tour on one of our pristine beaches, indulging in an ALL-you-can-eat Tim-Tams treat.
The Kayaking tour guides are not just experts in kayaking but are also surfers, self-proclaimed local historians, and seasoned watermen. They possess an in-depth knowledge of Byron Bay, ensuring you have the best possible experience. Relax and be guided around Byron Bay in two-person, sit-on-top-style sea kayaks, with your fellow tour group legends!

Day 9 – Surfers Paradise; Arrive in Surfers Paradise, night out.
Byron Bay to Surfers Paradise, settle into your hostel. As the sun sets, Surfers Paradise comes alive with its vibrant nightlife. Swap your comfy clothes for party outfits and dancing shoes, and immerse yourself in the city’s buzzing night scene. Whether you’re looking for a casual evening drink or an unforgettable night out, we’ve got suggestions to ensure your night is unforgettable.
Day 10 – Surfers Paradise; FREE day
After a night of tearing up the dance floor, catch up on some sleep and then enjoy a free day to explore. You can visit Surfers Paradise’s famous theme parks or spend the day relaxing on the beach, soaking in the lively atmosphere.
Day 11 – Brisbane; BBQ at South bank
Embark on a short bus journey to Brisbane, where you’ll meet your Meet Me tour leader and check into the hostel. Get ready for an exciting day ahead as we head to South Bank Brisbane. Experience live music, vibrant markets, and a fantastic atmosphere. The highlight of the day? A group afternoon BBQ that’s sure to be the perfect ending to an epic day. Enjoy great tunes, local vibes, and an Aussie BBQ with your fellow travelers!
Day 12 – Noosa; Arrive in Noosa, Group night out at Bingo
Welcome to the Sunshine Coast, where the laid-back charm of Noosa awaits! Drop your bags at Nomads Hostel and soak up the vibes by chillin’ out poolside. But the real fun begins this evening when our famous bingo night is about to unfold, your Meet Me group will have a VIP table for the legendary sold out night at KB’s Bar. It’s a unique twist to kick off your Noosa adventure, and the perfect way to connect with your fellow travelers. Get ready for a night of laughter, surprises, and good times in this beautiful beachside town
Day 13 – Eumundi Markets & group dinner
Rise and shine with your gold bling still sparkling from the epic bingo night! Join your Meet Me tour leader to explore the Original Eumundi Markets, the biggest and the best artisan market in Australia in a stunning rural setting. Please note, we will be using local transport, so you will need to purchase a GoCard to join us.
Return to Noosa and spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or exploring Noosa Junction. After a gorg’day of chilling or exploring Noosa Meet your Meet Me tour leader for – a group dinner at KB’s Beer Garden.
Day 14 – Noosa; National park walk, K’gari briefing & free time
Join the morning crew and your Meet Me leader for a refreshing national park walk. As for the national park walk, picture this: meandering through lush trails, catching glimpses of coastal vistas, and soaking in the serenity of Noosa National Park. It’s the perfect way to start your day with a dose of nature and good vibes
After soaking in the natural beauty, we’ll take a leisurely stroll around the iconic Hastings Street. Then, it’s time to kick back and relax at the beach, enjoying some well-deserved chill-out time by the shore.
This evening you and your group mates will meet in KB’s bar at Nomads Noosa for the K’gari compulsory pre-tour briefing.
Day 15-17: K’gari 4WD tour
A genuine 4WD and Bush / Beach camping experience. Safari Camping & Unforgettable Adventure Experience. Departing from beautiful Noosa, the three-day action-packed Island Expeditions adventure tour is the best way to truly experience all the K’gari has to offer. Our epic guides will teach you all you need to know about four-wheel driving on beaches and rugged inland tracks while sharing stories of the unique history and culture of K’gari. At the end of each day guests can sit back and relax at our purpose built campsite and enjoy preparing dinner with the group, have a few drinks and enjoy the campfire. No need to pack any camping gear or blankets as we have this all sorted including camp toilet facilities. Get a thrill out of driving around the World Heritage listed K’gari in a 4WD for 3 days and 2 nights and exploring all of the natural beauty it has to offer. Cruise around 75 Mile Beach, which is the island’s official road! Enjoy bushwalks, refreshing swims at Eli Creek, Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Maheno Wreck and Champagne Pools.

Embark on your K’gari 4WD adventures today as Day 1 unfolds bright and early. The journey kicks off with a pick-up from Nomads Noosa. After securing your luggage in storage, the convoy heads towards Rainbow Beach, with an anticipated 1.5-2 hour drive. Upon arrival, a brief stop allows us to gather other guests and the 4WDs. Once the vehicle orientation wraps up, our exciting journey to the remarkable K’gari begins. For those departing from Rainbow Beach, we’ll pick you up from the BP Petrol station at 9:15 am.
The next leg of our adventure involves taking the ferry from Rainbow Beach, landing at Hook Point on the southern tip of Fraser Island approximately 10 minutes later. Before settling in at the campground, we’ll start on some explorations, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience on this stunning island
Prepare for another early start on your second day, ensuring we make the most of your time on the island! After indulging in a continental-style breakfast featuring cereal, toast, spreads, tea, and coffee, the K’gari adventure continues. While the itinerary may vary based on tides and weather conditions, the goal is to explore key highlights such as Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, Maheno Wreck, Champagne Pools, Lake Wabby, and a drive along the iconic 75 Mile Beach.
Return to the same campsite, lend a hand with dinner preparations, and then enjoy the evening hanging out with your newfound friends. It’s a day packed with exploration, stunning sights, and camaraderie in the heart of K’gari.
Day 17 – K’gari & Noosa return
After a morning filled with exploration on K’gari, it’s time to bid farewell and journey back to Noosa. Upon checking into the hostel, gather with your group at KB’s Bar for a lively post-tour party. Sip on drinks, nibble on snacks, and share laughter while reminiscing about the unforgettable moments of the past couple of days. It’s a perfect way to wrap up the K’gari adventure and toast to the next adventures.
Day 18 – Free day & overnight bus to Airlie beach
Today marks the final day of your Noosa adventure, and it’s entirely yours to shape. Whether you choose to explore solo, bond with your new group mates, or simply unwind and soak up the sun by the pool at the hostel, the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. In the evening, gather with your group as you prepare to embark on the overnight bus journey bound for Airlie Beach, the next stop on your exciting journey.
Day 19 – Arrival in Airlie Beach, chill out time and evening trivia
After an epic overnight Greyhound journey with your newfound mates, touchdown in the charming town of Airlie Beach, your gateway to the Whitsundays. Since you’ll be arriving bright and early, we’ll take care of your bags, allowing you the entire day to shake off those bus vibes. Whether you choose to chill by one of the two pools at the hostel or venture out to explore the local scene, it’s your day to unwind and soak in the laid-back vibes of Airlie Beach.
As the day unfolds, get ready to kick back, relax, and mingle with the rest of the crew at Boaty’s Bar for some fun pub trivia
Day 20 – Airlie explore & Karaoke
Today, we’ll head to the local Airlie Beach Lagoon for some leisure time. Dive into the crystal-clear waters or simply soak up the sun—it’s your time to unwind or join in some traditional Aussie beach games. As the sun sets, the evening comes alive with Boaty’s famous karaoke night. This isn’t your typical karaoke setup; it’s more of a singalong vibe. Get ready to belt out your favorite tunes, share some laughs, and make memories in true Airlie Beach style!
Day 21 – Airlie Beach Free day
This morning, take your time waking up and shaking off any lingering effects from last night’s karaoke fun. With the entire day and evening ahead of you in Airlie Beach, it’s yours to enjoy however you please. Embrace the freedom to spend the day exactly as you wish, whether it’s exploring the town, relaxing by the beach, or indulging in some leisurely activities. The choice is yours to make the most of your time in this vibrant coastal destination.
Days 22 – 24: 3 day / 2 night Whitsunday sailing adventure
Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Today, you’ll hop aboard one of the sailboats for a magical 3-day, 2-night journey through the breathtaking Whitsunday Islands. Brace yourself for an immersive experience as you explore the pristine beauty of the Whitsundays, visit the iconic Hill Inlet Lookout, unwind on the world-renowned Whitehaven Beach, go snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and spend the nights under the stars aboard the sailboat. It’s a dream come true – how many friends can boast about sailing around the Whitsundays and sleeping under the stars on a sailboat? Meals are included, and feel free to bring your own drinks to enhance the unforgettable moments on this nautical adventure!
Day 24 – Final day on the Whitsundays and Group dinner in Airlie
After a spectacular final day exploring the Whitsundays, it’s time to check back into Nomads Airlie Hostel. Gather with the group for a memorable meal on the deck of Boaty’s. Bask in the evening rays, sharing laughter and stories from the Whitsundays trip while indulging in a delicious feast. It’s the perfect way to wind down, savoring the memories of the pristine islands and creating lasting connections with your fellow adventurers.
Day 25 – Arrival Magnetic Island
Welcome to the absolute paradise of Magnetic Island! Following a quick ferry ride from Townsville, your Meet Me Maggie tour leader will be ready to greet you at Nomads. Get ready to dive into the island vibes as we welcome you with a refreshing Island cocktail. After checking in, kick back on the deck, soaking in the ocean views, and meet your awesome group and tour leader.
As the day winds down, your tour leader will guide you on the Hawkins Point Sunset Walk. At the summit, witness the breathtaking sunset, and don’t worry – we’ve got you covered with some drinks to enhance the experience. It’s the perfect way to kick off your Magnetic Island adventure, surrounded by stunning views and great company.
Day 26 – Island explore & group dinner
Rise and shine early to witness the captivating sunrise right from the comfort of the hostel. Today, your tour leader has an exciting adventure planned as they guide you on the early Forts Walk. This iconic hike promises not only breathtaking views from the top but also the chance to spot adorable koalas along the way. The Forts Walk stands out as the island’s most popular walking experience, offering a glimpse into the beauty of Magnetic Island National Park. Traverse through the island’s dry tropical landscape, discovering koalas, enjoying stunning vistas, and encountering remnants of World War II. It’s a holistic and immersive experience that captures the essence of this unique island gem. After the invigorating walk, cool off with a dip in the hostel pool and indulge in some well-deserved relaxation.
The afternoon is all about free time, and we recommend fully immersing yourself in the laid-back island vibes. Take a swim at the beach, and don’t forget – your hostel has direct beach access. You can even rent snorkel gear from reception for some underwater exploration.
Day 27 – Magnetic Island Free day

Day 28 – Island vibes and evening Bingo
Today is all about relaxation and embracing the laid-back vibes of the hostel. Take full advantage of the beach access, dive into the refreshing pool for a swim, kick back in the hammocks for some serene moments, or simply unwind on the deck, soaking in the rhythmic waves. Whether you choose to bask in the sun or find a cozy spot indoors, the day is yours to savor the tranquil atmosphere and rejuvenate by the beachside. It’s the perfect opportunity to recharge and enjoy the serenity of Magnetic Island.
In the evening, for those who want to add a bit of excitement to their day, join us for a round of the famous Maggie Boozy Bingo! It’s not your ordinary bingo night – be prepared for a lively and entertaining twist that promises laughs, surprises, and a memorable evening on Magnetic Island. Get those bingo cards ready and gear up for a night of good times and great company!
Day 29 – Journey to Cairns
After your epic island escape, it’s time to bid farewell to Magnetic Island and embark on the journey to Cairns with your group. Upon arrival at the hostel, take the evening to unpack, unwind, and settle into your new Cairns home for the next six nights. Get ready to embrace the tropical vibes and prepare for an unforgettable stay in tropical far north queensland
Day 30 – Great barrier reef snorkel trip
Today, you and your group will embark on a full-day boat trip to explore the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef through snorkeling. Get ready for an immersive adventure as you dive into the crystal-clear waters to discover the vibrant marine life and breathtaking coral formations of this iconic natural wonder. It’s an opportunity to create unforgettable memories and marvel at the beauty of one of the world’s most renowned ecosystems.
Day 31 – Fun, falls & forest day tour
Waterfalls and rainforest tour in Cairns! A fantastic fun filled journey through North Queensland’s spectacular Atherton Tableland’s Region
Today you and your group will join “Gus the Wonder Bus” on an exhilarating day’s journey through this spectacular area, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of pristine waterfalls and crater lakes like Josephine Falls, Milla Milla waterfall, and Lake Eacham.
Your itinerary includes:
- Babinda Boulders: Explore the rainforest, a living history museum, with a short walk, informative talk, and a refreshing swim in crystal-clear mountain water. It’s truly amazing!
- Josephine Falls: Experience the awe-inspiring three-stage rainforest waterfall with the most incredible swimming hole in Australia!
- Tea House: Indulge in a culinary treat as we take our food seriously, ensuring you won’t be disappointed.
- Milla Milla Falls: Are you ready to swim behind a 30-meter (100-foot) waterfall? If not, let us guide you through this unforgettable experience.
- Lake Eacham: Delve into the depths of this volcanic crater lake, over 60 meters deep, created by underground pressure that erupted and left a large crater.
- Platypus: Encounter one of the world’s cutest creatures and say “Hello” to a platypus! (Available from 1 April to 31 Oct)

Take this opportunity to soak in the tropical charm of Cairns and make the most of your time in this beautiful destination.
Day 33 & 34 – Free days
After an action-packed and bustling East Coast trip, you’ve earned the next two days to relax and unwind. Take this time to chill out, perhaps book some tours or engage in activities that pique your interest. Whether it’s exploring the local area, indulging in some well-deserved rest and relaxation, or embarking on new adventures, the choice is yours. Enjoy the freedom to make the most of your time and recharge before your next adventure.
Day 35 –
Today, your East Coast adventure comes to an end, leaving you with incredible memories, new friends, and a deep appreciation for the awesome places you’ve explored. Reflect on the unforgettable experiences and cherish the best memories made along the way. While the journey may be concluding, the impact of this adventure will stay with you forever.
