If you’re looking to travel to Australia’s Island State, Tasmania, you may consider traveling by ferry. This is a good option if you have your own vehicle that you want to take with you to save money on rental cars or be able to travel on your own terms.

You can travel on the Spirit of Tasmania as a passenger with out a car, with your car, and have the option to book a cabin for the journey. The ferry is roughly 10 hours and is either overnight or during the day, departing from Geelong and arriving into Devonport.

You can plan and book your trip here.
