Unload Crew Members – Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty

Our unload crew is based at our facility on the port. The team are responsible for the smooth transition of frozen product from our fishing vessels and then loaded onto trucks to be transported to our factory.

There are many physical aspects to this role, and therefore the team undergo training to ensure coverage and knowledge in all areas of work. You will carry out tasks on shore and on the vessels, from setting up pumps in the holds to grading the product.

The unload crew is the first team to handle our product; all tasks must be carried out safely and that the product remains suitable for its intended purpose, uncompromised by your actions or inactions. It is physically demanding in varying work conditions (as dependent on the weather).
If you get claustrophobic or seasick (due to tidal movements on the vessel when at berth), this environment will not suit you.

You will occasionally work at heights and in confined spaces. If you have not undergone this training previously, you will not be asked to perform these tasks until trained. Additionally, if you hold a valid OSH license and are F-endorsed, please let us know in your application, as this is useful to the team.

As a seasonal company, this team starts early, usually 0530; however, working hours will vary, including Saturdays.
