Spend the winter at the gateway to the Abel Tasman!
Located in stunning Mārahau, we are an Accommodation and Tourism business that loves to create a welcoming and memorable stay for guests. We are looking for a friendly, hands-on, proactive, and adaptable All Rounder to join our team for over this Winter Season (April/May to October/November).
This is a diverse Winter role is covering reception, housekeeping, basic maintenance, and general upkeep – perfect for someone who enjoys variety, connecting with people, working both independently and in a team.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Hardworking, responsible, and enthusiastic person ✅ Great customer service skills & a friendly, firm approach when needed ✅ Good attention to detail, able to do housekeeping and cleaning to a high standard ✅ Ability to problem-solve on the go and take initiative ensuring things run smoothly ✅ Comfortable with flexible tasks and hours (some days will be busier than others), including on-call duties ✅ Can embrace a sometimes quieter lifestyle – comfortable entertaining themselves with creative projects, exploring the area and making the most of a peaceful setting (discounts for awesome Abel Tasman activities included!) ✅ Basic knowledge of tools, water pumps, and electrical fuse boxes is a plus (but full training provided)
Job Details:
- $25/hour – Minimum 15 hours per week, up to 30+ hours for the right person
- Onsite accommodation in a private cabin with shared facilities ($165/week) or there is a van camping option
- Winter season role (April–Oct/Nov), exceptions can be discussed
- On-call up to 5 nights per week, a roster is provided
- All rounder position – Reception, Housekeeping, Basic Maintenance, On call
- Must have: The right to work in NZ, an IRD number & a NZ/Wise bank account.
