Sous chef or Chef de partie – Greymouth

Type: Minimum 8 weeks employment, Minimum 35 hours per week, will average 40 hours per week over 8 weeks.

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sous Chef or Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team while one of our long-standing chefs is on leave. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team, and has a passion for food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services

• Daily baking of cabinet food, such as muffins and scones

• Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards

• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role (Sous Chef or Chef De Partie)

• Experience in breakfast cooking and baking is an advantage

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Passion for food and excellent attention to detail

• A positive, fun attitude and good teamwork skills

Additional Information:

• Accommodation can be provided if required.

• Minimum 35 hours per week, with the opportunity for more hours depending on business needs.
