General roles of a sandwich hand:

Food Preparation:

Prepare sandwich ingredients (slicing meats, chopping vegetables, grating cheese, etc.)

Assemble sandwiches, wraps, rolls, and toasties according to orders or display standards

Make simple sides like salads or snacks if required

Maintaining Food Hygiene:

Follow safe food handling and hygiene procedures

Keep work areas, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitized

Store food items correctly (labeling and rotating stock)

Customer Service (if front-facing):

Take customer orders politely and efficiently

Answer questions about ingredients or special requests

Pack and present food neatly for takeaway or dine-in

Stocking & Replenishing:

Restock sandwich stations throughout the day

Monitor ingredient levels and notify supervisors when supplies are low

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries

General Kitchen Support:
