Retail & Rental Assistant – Falls Creek

We are a family-owned & operated business located in the center of Falls Creek. We are looking for someone to join our small team for the 2024 winter season. On-mountain staff accommodation can be organised for the right applicant.


As a retail and rental assistant, you will be hard-working and customer-orientated, ensuring the smooth running of in-store retail and rental operations. With our diverse clientele, you will need to be able to identify customer’s needs and recommend suitable retail and rental products to satisfy their needs.


  • Assisting guests with their rental and retail equipment requirements
  • Determining/advising guest of their equipment
  • Selling a wide range of ski and snowboard products including accessories and souvenirs
  • Stock rotation, visual merchandising and various other tasks as required.
  • Resolving guest problems efficiently and tactfully
  • Complying with all company, store and area operational, OH+S, environmental policies and procedures


  • Proven experience in the rental/retail industry
  • Patience and understanding
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with cash/card (EFTPOS)
  • Ability to handle pressure effectively
  • Skilled at multi-tasking
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highest regard for personal appearance and presentation
  • Have a strong work ethic and a cheerful personality
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including day, evening and weekend shifts
  • Personal interest in skiing, snowboarding, and the outdoors is a must
  • Proven experience in a rental or retail shop will be an advantage
  • Applicants must hold a valid Australian work visa
  • Fluency in other languages is considered a bonus
  • Current drivers licence
