Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a receptionist at a busy multifaceted Venue/Resort/Hotel (Similar experience in the local area is highly regarded).
- Demonstratable complaints handling and customer service experience
- Experience using RMS or similar preferred but an eagerness to learn will be accepted (Strong computer skills non-negotiable).
- A solid understanding of the accommodation/hospitality/tourism sector with experience in a customer centric role is essential
- A positive, naturally decisive, proactive, bubbly, and robust personality is required in this role.
- Cash-up/Cash handling experience required and the ability to troubleshoot.
- Business, Admin, Hospitality qualifications will be looked upon favorably.
- Accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience will be very helpful for this role but it is not essential – we are happy to train if you are happy to learn.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assisting with guest queries in a professional, timely and efficient manner
- Responding to email, phone call and face-to-face enquiries with exceptional problem solving and customer service capabilities
- Ensuring an efficient check-in and check-out, liaising with other departments regularly and as required, assisting with inspections and ensuring all resort rules and procedures are being followed by all guests
- Supporting and assisting with leading the team, training new recruits when required, providing timely reporting and information as needed to other departments and management.
- General operational support for the Guest Services Manager and team.
- Managing corporate accounts, invoices, payments and other similar items in an experienced and efficient manner.
