As our Maintenance / Handyperson, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our properties remain safe, functional, and visually appealing at all times. Your day-to-day work will vary but typically includes:
- General repairs and maintenance – fixing doors, windows, fixtures, lighting, basic plumbing, and more
- Painting and patching – touch-ups and general upkeep of rooms and public areas
- Basic carpentry – furniture repairs, minor installations, and small construction jobs
- Grounds and exterior care – keeping pathways clear, pressure washing, tidying outdoor spaces
- Preventative maintenance – routine inspections of equipment, rooms, and public facilities
- Urgent callouts – responding to guest-related maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Assisting with projects – supporting renovation or upgrade works when required
- Coordination with contractors – liaising with external trades when specialist work is needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in general property or facility maintenance (hotel or resort experience a plus)
- Competence in a range of basic trades: plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to troubleshoot on the go
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you’ll be interacting with guests and team members
- Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as required
- Current driver’s licence (essential); trade qualifications are desirable but not required
