We live and work in New Zealand’s top tourism destination, Milford Sound, 8th wonder of the world and the best part is we aren’t in the bustling heart of it, we are a little bit hidden, by a river, under the mountains, just up the road, our lovely little lodge avoids the crowds and buses and hosts around 60 restaurant guests in our 24 luxury chalets. Your 1-minute daily commute from our team house to our lodge will take your breath away, every single day.

But more importantly our chefs are talented, and kind, we don’t believe in yelling and plate throwing, we believe in training and growing and working as a team to get the best out of everyone. Our Head Chef is a young, passionate, and enthusiastic chef, specialising in fine dining and local ingredients, he spent a key part of his career in the Australian outback under a Michelin trained chef soaking up every tiny detail and has brought them all to our Lodge. Our Sous Chef is a true kiwi, he loves nothing more than catching his own Kai Moana and treating the team to it. If you are looking for a place to thrive with a dream team, we have it here.


Our menu is completely hand crafted, we use local ingredients and interesting techniques. We are continuously developing, training, adding dishes, running specials, nurturing new talent and testing new waters. We have big dreams for our restaurant. Our guests consistently rate us as one of New Zealand’s top dining experiences, and a well-kept secret to be discovered in the wilderness.


Our kitchen is brand new; it is spacious and well-equipped. We don’t mess around, if the team needs something to support their craft, we sort it out. Our brand new restaurant has had a complete interior refit and the new space is epic.


*Living: full time private room onsite at the Lodge, rent, bills, internet and food are $20, when you are onsite. When you are offsite, your room is still your own, but you only pay when you stay.

*Roster: our chefs work 9 days on 5 days off rosters, 9 days of work followed by 5 whole days off to adventure, explore, relax or cook

*Activities: being in this industry means industry perks, free cruises, buses, kayak trips and more.

*Pay: Starting rate of $27-$30, opportunity to grow. Perfect location to work and save hard whilst living cheaply.
