About the role: We are recruiting for a team of seasonal staff to join our Liquid Semen Laboratory from September until December. This is a semen despatch laboratory that provides liquid semen nationwide to farmers for artificial insemination of their cows. This is a fast-paced operational environment that emphasises quality, efficiency, and teamwork. The Lab is based in Newstead, Hamilton.
- Roles will commence in September and end in December.
- Days of work and hours may vary based on work availability but will be a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight and up to 40 hours per week in the peak processing period.
- We operate 7 days a week during peak season and use a 5 on 2 off roster. The 2 days off are consecutive but not necessarily Saturday or Sunday. Early starts may be required.
- Prior experience is not necessary as full training is provided.
About You: We are seeking candidates who possess the following attributes:
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to follow standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines
- Enjoy working as part of a large team
- Punctual
- Flexible and willing to learn a wide range of tasks
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience in a laboratory or production environment is valuable but not essential.
