Kiwifruit Flower Picker – Te Puke

We have a seasonal role for you in the Bay of Plenty from the beginning of November with the opportunity for thinning work from before (Early October) & after (December – February) the pollen season.

About the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasonal worker picking flowers from kiwifruit orchards. Our highest performers last season were earning $55 an hour!

  • Availability to work for the full month of November.
  • Self-motivated person – This role is piece rate, meaning the more flowers that you pick the more you earn so you can control how much you are paid.
  • You will always be paid at least minimum wage with our average earners banking around $35/hr. Pay rate will vary according to conditions.
  • Over 160cm tall (in order to reach the vines which are 170cm – 180cm from the ground).
  • Enjoy working outdoors and being physical.
  • Valid work permit/ visa (we cannot accept SSE visas).
  • NZ Bank Account and IRD Number.
  • No previous experience required.

This casual contract is great for people on working holiday visas, locals and anyone who enjoys piece rate work. The role will require you to travel to different orchards around the Tauranga, Te Puke and Katikati area.  In fine conditions we work 7:30am-5pm up to 6 days a week. In rain conditions working hours may be adjusted or postponed.

There may be an opportunity to stay on for thinning and pruning work at an hourly rate from December – February.
