THE ROLE:
- Wash and clean utensils and dishes that are returned to the kitchen
- Handle, sort, store and distribute food items when requested.
- Dispose of waste.
- Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools and areas, maintaining cleaning rosters/ checklists
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience working in a similar role (advantageous)
- Able to work well under pressure and stay calm in demanding situations (essential)
- Able to work autonomously and as a part of a team
- Willingness to use initiative and have attention to detail
- Flexibility with roster – be able to work a variety of shifts, including the possibility of split shifts and weekend work
