Your key roles and responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, following our standardized recipes and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Handle food ingredients with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and labelling.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels, restocking supplies, and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
- Follow kitchen procedures, including portion control, plating, and presentation, to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
Ideal candidates:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques is a plus, but not mandatory. We are willing to provide training for candidates with a strong interest in Japanese cuisine.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
