Kitchen hand – Noosa heads

Public holiday, weekend and evening work is essential .

Experience is preferred.

Roles of a kitchen hand:

  • Food Preparation:
    • Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
    • Preparing basic ingredients like sauces, salads, or garnishes.
    • Assisting with marinating or seasoning food items.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing:
    • Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
    • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment.
    • Ensuring cleanliness of storage areas, fridges, and freezers.
    • Ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling practices.
  • Stocking and Organization:
    • Storing food and ingredients correctly (e.g., organizing shelves, labeling food, managing stock levels).
    • Ensuring all ingredients are accessible to chefs and kitchen staff.
    • Assisting with inventory control by checking supplies and restocking as necessary.
  • Assisting Chefs and Cooks:
    • Helping chefs during food preparation and cooking processes.
    • Setting up stations and prepping for service.
    • Plating and garnishing dishes when required.
