We’re a large, well-established blueberry farm located in Hastings, passionate about horticulture and the outdoors. We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated individual to join our team in a key support role.
About the Role: As our Irrigation Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring our crops thrive. This is a dynamic, practical role that blends technical knowledge with physical, on-the-ground work.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and repairing our existing irrigation systems
- Assisting with new irrigation installations
- Supporting frost preparation & maintenance efforts
- Handling general maintenance tasks as needed
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Solid practical skills, with references to back it up
- An excellent level of physical fitness
- A proactive attitude with a strong focus on health and safety
- A positive mindset and willingness to learn and grow
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm, with occasional weekend work as required.
