Job Opportunity – Small Island Hotel
Capable all rounders required for summer season – Ideally a couple, accommodation provided/available in shared staff house – immediate start or within the next few week.
We are looking for a couple of competent all-rounders to help out for the summer season, min 5 Months (6 – 7 Months available), roles required are housekeeping, front of house, kitchen & dish hand, Grounds & gardens, maintenance, driving and anything and everything in-between, so we are open to people that have previous hospitality experience in some areas or those with that are well rounded, have common sense and a can do attitude – full training will be given.
Waiheke is a vibe, and a beautiful place to spend the summer, white sand beaches at your door step, lots of coastal walks, staff accommodation is 5 min from the hotel and a 15 min walk to the village – a 35 min ferry takes you into Auckland city so on days off you can get the city fix.
Hours of work will be guaranteed 40 hours a week (more if wanted) with 2 days off, split shifts are required so will generally be mornings 8am – 12pm and then evenings 6pm – 10pm, to cover breakfasts, room servicing & changeovers, guests transport for arrivals and departures, dinner service, night room servicing, and close down, leaves lots of time in the middle of the day to enjoy what Waiheke has to offer.
Good remuneration and very reasonable rent in comfortable staff accommodation – daily meals provided while working, brunch in the morning and dinner in the evening so a great chance to save money for future travels. Uniforms provided.
Must be eligible to work in New Zealand with all appropriate documentation – a reasonable to high level of English preferred but attitude and manor is the most important. Full drivers license (and experience) for at least one person would be an advantage.
