A unique and lean business seeks a motivated and personable management team. On site manager’s accommodation (large 3 bedroom house + studio), easy to run business and room for significant earnings. Full training and additional opportunities are available for the right team.

Ten chalets and ten studio unit motel. Located in a beautiful, private setting amongst fruit and avocado trees in the heart of Kerikeri. A short walk to town, schools and local amenities.

Manager Responsibilities:

Hands-on role that includes hospitality of guests, reservation management, housekeeping, maintenance of lawns and grounds, minor maintenance when required and most importantly, ensuring guests enjoy their stay.
Business development and marketing.
Maintain a constant focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Strive towards constant improvements across the business – including guest feedback and robust assessment of the processes and procedures to improve the business.
Maintain the existing budgets/expenditure for the business and focus on revenue and occupancy goals for the property.
Report financial information and sales accordingly to the owners.

Operational Responsibilities:

Personable approach to managing guests and assisting them as needed.
Staff management to maintain happy and productive staff.
The Manager needs to be fully conversant with computer based systems, including, property management systems, email and online travel agents (e.g.
Work across reservations, front desk and housekeeping. This is a hands-on role and includes housekeeping support.
Manage business finances, including room rates, invoicing and credit control, business expenses and staff hours.
Be responsible for inspecting the Motel’s cleanliness and appearance internally and externally.

Ability to problem solve and address time critical issues.
Previous motel manager experience preferred. The right person with hospitality experience could still fill the role. Attitude and work ethic trumps experience.
Professional, competent and organised.
Computer and system-focused, with a keen eye for detail.
Physically fit and able, with good overall health.
Clean full NZ driving license. License must be sighted
Applicants for the position should either be a New Zealand citizen or a resident or have a valid New Zealand work visa.


Base Salary.
Accommodation and some living costs.
Commission Bonus for Sales.
Work from home (no travel costs/time).
Contracted position.
