If you’re interested in a Ground Crew position for an agricultural helicopter operation, this could be a great opportunity for you! Based in Otautau, Southland, the role involves loading helicopters with fertiliser or chemicals, assisting with general helicopter-related activities, and helping to maintain the hangar, other buildings, grounds, and vehicles.
What the Job Entails This is a physically demanding role with early mornings and long hours, but it offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment. While initially a fixed-term position, there’s potential for it to become full-time.
What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will be:
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and punctual.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, mature, and possess good communication skills.
- Safety conscious and willing to become fully familiar with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) protocols.
- A NZ Resident or a valid work permit.
Requirements You’ll need a full driver’s license and must be able to achieve a Class 2 license within three months of starting if you don’t already have one. The role involves both on and off-road driving.
Desirable Skills (Training Provided) Experience with Class 3 licenses, Dangerous Goods, Approved Handlers, and forklift or loader operation would be a plus, but training can be provided.
