Guest Services Agent – Launceston

We are seeking a Guest Services Agent to join our team in front office .

The role offered is to be part time however may lead to a full time position due to the expansion of the hotel.  Experience is preferred however we are willing to provide full training if you have a passion for the industry.

The rotating roster is over 7 days and includes day shifts (6.45am-2.45pm) and afternoon shifts (2.30 -10pm).  The role requires you to work autonomously at times, and as part of a team at others.

Your role is to maximise both the guest experience and sales!  As well as, ensure the efficient running of the shift from check in and check out processes, maintaining guest accounts, booking reservations via phone, internet & walk ins, guest enquiries, cash reconciliations, balancing audits, reports, group reservations & compliment/conflict resolution. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Exceptional customer service skills & history of guest service satisfaction & a lead by example attitude.
• Exemplary written & verbal & listening communicative skills.
• Ability to communicate politely, efficiently and diplomatically.
• Exceptional telephone manner & professional voice/speech communication.
• Strongly developed computer skills, including PMS, Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
• Room Master PMS experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with websites and channel managers is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively autonomously, as well as, part of the team.
• Friendly relationship building and networking skills with regard to interacting with guests, suppliers, employees, managers and the general community.
• Have well defined negotiating skills and be able to turn a negative guest experience into a positive one through excellent customer service & communicating skills to achieve a mutually agreeable outcome for the business and customer.
• Have a strong focus on encouraging repeat business and rewarding our large corporate base.
