Front Office Receptionist – Carlton

A Permanent Part-Time opportunity is available to join the team at a well-established hotel and student accommodation provider in Carlton, Melbourne, located within walking distance of the University of Melbourne.

The Role: We are looking for reliable team players with a positive, can-do attitude. Your engaging personality and excellent communication skills will help enhance the guest experience, from check-in to check-out. You should be adaptable to change and remain calm, efficient, and organised during busy periods. Strong administrative and computer skills are also required for this role.

Duties & Responsibilities: This role combines front office reception, property management, and customer service, providing an excellent opportunity to learn new skills in a supportive environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Front Desk Operations: Managing the day-to-day operations of the front desk.
  • Customer Service: Assisting all prospective residents and visitors in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Accommodation Industry Experience: Experience in a hotel or similar customer service role is preferred.
  • University Environment Experience: Prior experience in a university setting is highly regarded.
  • Cultural Awareness: Being culturally competent and understanding towards diverse cultures.
  • RMS Knowledge: Familiarity with RMS is an advantage.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Valid Working Rights in Australia or New Zealand
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check (VIC)
  • Valid RSA
