Front of House Staff – Melbourne CBD

Casual/Part Time with potential to transition to Full Time

We currently have exciting opportunities for Waiters, Bartenders and Food Runners at our venues in Melbourne CBD. We are seeking talented and experienced staff to join our team and help us deliver a high-quality dining experience to our guests.

Nestled in the ever-growing premium dining scene of Flinders Lane, our venue is a modern twist on the steakhouse, specialising in mouth-watering steaks cooked to perfection in our custom built and revolutionary “Ignis Maximus” grill-ovens, alongside a curated range of delicious and diverse dishes from a variety of cultural influences. At the forefront of the venue is a beautiful and dynamic cocktail bar offering a mix of classic twists, exciting new beverage ideas and small bites if you’re feeling peckish. Whether it’s a casual catch-up at the bar, date night, enjoying an indulgent night out or celebrating a special event, we are a space for all occasions.

As floor staff, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, dealing with customers in a polite and friendly manner, understanding and explaining the menu, as well as delivering various dishes and beverages to our exacting standards.  You will work closely with our Venue Manager, Supervisors and other team members to ensure that all actions and tasks are completed to the highest standard and in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised workstation and have a good understanding of, and being hands on with all HACCP procedures.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working in a premium dining restaurant and will be passionate about creativity and innovation of menu items. You must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. You should also be able to work well within a team without supervision.

Requirements:

– Previous experience working in a fine dining restaurant preferred

– Strong customer and interpersonal skills and table side manner

– Good communication skills and the ability to guide junior members of a team

– A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow

– Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
