We’re a family run company with a team of tour guides (kayaks, quad bikes and skippers), front of house staff and mechanics. We run guided kayak tours, scenic boat tours and fishing charters on Lake Mapourika. We also run Off-Road Quad Bike adventures and a busy booking office in the Franz Josef township. Franz Josef: Franz Josef Glacier is a small town that’s full of life, with lots of world-class walks and attractions and a small population of like-minded outdoorsy individuals.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience in similar front of house roles is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with tour reservation systems and travel agents is desirable (but not essential).
Tasks & responsibilities
- Answering phone calls and booking emails with clients and travel agents.
- Performing tour check-ins.
- Editing and sending tour photos to customers.
- Dealing with walk-in clients and selling tours.
- Cash handling, payments and cash-outs responsibilities.
- Opening and closing duties, during the peak season our office is open until 7:30 or 8 pm.
- Keeping the booking office clean, tidy and presentable.
- Radio communications between tour guides.
- At times you may be required to also assist tour guides with pack up or packing duties as required through out the season.
- Liaising and working with tour buses and group leaders.
