Harvest Season Details:
Dates: Mid December 2024 to Early March 2025.
We will be offering several fixed-term seasonal contracts for the following positions. If you are offered one of these contracts, you must be available for the entire harvest duration. Please do not apply for these positions if you are not available for the entire season, there are plenty of casual picking positions available.
Available Positions:
Compliance Officer (1 vacancy) start date 01.09.23
- Work closely with the Orchard Fore people and Company Director.
- Previous experience and good English skills (speaking and writing) are beneficial.
Orchard Assistant (2 Vacancy) start date 1 December 2024
- Support Management: Coordinate daily harvest activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Internal Systems: Learn and utilize orchard systems and software for data entry, scheduling, and communication.
- Harvest Documentation: Manage and file necessary harvest documents promptly.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and update accurate harvest records.
- Communication: Liaise between field teams and management to facilitate information flow on harvest progress, safety updates, and team needs.
Picking Team Leader (16 vacancies) 4 required to start 15.12.2024, 12 more required to join 02.01.2025
- Available early in the season and commit to the full harvest.
- Lead a picking team and communicate between seasonal workers and the Orchard Manager.
- Good spoken English and previous fruit harvest experience are beneficial.
Bucket Persons (32 vacancies) 10 required to start 15.12.2024 and 26 more to join 02.01.2025
- Check cherry quality, weigh buckets, empty them into bins, and transport fruit using a UTV (Mule) vehicle.
- Start before and finish after the picking teams.
- Good English skills are required; previous experience is beneficial.
Quality Controller – Fruit (16 vacancies) 4 required to start 15.12.2024, 12 more required to join 02.01.2025
- Collecting and correctly recording fruit quality data
- Be comfortable addressing pickers about the quality of their picked fruit
- Working closely with the Picking Team Leader (above).
- Good spoken English and previous fruit harvest experience are beneficial.
