About the role
Barilla Bay Tasmania is seeking an enthusiastic Farm Hand to work on our Dunalley site full time. As a Farm Hand, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of our thriving oyster production.
What you’ll be doing
- Undertaking general farm duties, including oyster harvesting, grading, and packing
- Maintaining and cleaning oyster farming equipment and infrastructure
- Assisting with the transportation and distribution of harvested oysters
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the farm manager
- Working around the tides, subtidal & intertidal
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a similar farm or agricultural role, preferably in the aquaculture industry
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of farm work
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of the business
- Must have own car & drivers’ licence
- Coxswain ticket advantageous
