Farm Hand – Myrtleford

We are looking for Farm Hands to join the team on a casual basis

Location: Our hop farms  are located in North-eastern Victoria, a 10-minute drive from Myrtleford.

You will perform a range of farm hand activities including, but not limited to:

• Operating farm machinery including tractors.
• Repairs and maintenance to hop trellis framework.
• Assist with irrigation and repairs.
• A variety of other manual handling farming activities in the hop fields.

• Hardworking, honest and reliable and able to work well alone and as part of a team
• Physically fit and enjoy manual labour tasks
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Safety conscious and will follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures
• Experience operating farm machinery is preferred
• A current and valid driver’s licence

Desirable skills, but not necessary:

• Provide First Aid & CPR training
• Chemical Handling training
• Training in the safe operation and maintenance of chainsaws
• Elevated Work Platform training
• Forklift licence

Casual wages are aligned to the Horticulture Award 2020 and will be between $29.33 per hour (Level 1) and $30.95 per hour (Level 3) depending upon the tasks you are required to perform. We provide a supportive, positive, and safe working environment.
