About the Role
We are currently seeking a Full-time Farm Hand to join our team at our pistachio orchard in Robinvale, Victoria. This role will assist with a range of hands-on tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of the property.
The successful applicant would be available to work some weekends and shift work (including nights) when required throughout the season.
It is an excellent entry-level role for someone looking to kick start their career in the horticultural industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Tractor operation and general machinery maintenance
- Tree pruning with a chainsaw and secateurs
- Harvest machinery operation
- Irrigation maintenance
- Orchard maintenance and manual field work
- Land/soil preparation, spraying of fertilizer and pesticide solutions
- Orchard development work
Skills and Experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable operating agricultural equipment
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Team player and willingness to learn new skills
- Safety-focused mindset
- Comfortable working autonomously
- Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle essential
- Must have fulltime Australian work rights
