We’re on the hunt for passionate and energetic people to join the [A] Team in a range of event and hospitality roles. Over four dazzling race days, you’ll experience the Melbourne Cup Carnival from the heart of the action.
Bar Attendant responsibilities
- Ensure you follow the appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and sequence of service procedures in the execution of your duties.
- Ensure bars are set up and packed down according to bar operations procedure.
- work collaboratively with all team members to maximise customer satisfaction and revenue generation opportunities.
- Ensure that your section/s are correctly setup and that items and/or products are of high standard and in good condition.
- Maintain communication with the manager on duty so that information regarding special requests or customer feedback can be effectively actioned.
- Undertake both food and beverage table service as required.
- Meet and greet customers.
- Pick up glasses; removing food plates; setting and/or wiping down tables; and cleaning and tidying of associated areas.
- General assistance to food and beverage attendants of a higher grade.
- Supplying, dispensing, or mixing of liquor
- Receipt of monies.
Bar Supervisor responsibilities
- Assist the bar manager with the day-to-day operational running of the bar.
- Ensure standard operating procedures (sop’s) and sequence of service procedures are maintained and followed by you and the team that you lead for each section of the operation.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Providing beverage table service as required.
- Meeting and greeting customers.
- Picking up glasses; removing food plates; setting and/or wiping down tables; and cleaning and tidying of associated areas.
- General assistance to food and beverage attendants of a higher grade
- Assisting in the supervision of food and beverage attendants of a lower grade.
- Communicate with floor staff.
- Supplying, dispensing or mixing of liquor.
- Receipt of monies.
- Monitor the dining floor to ensure all customers’ needs are being acknowledged and attended to in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Communicate stock levels
The successful applicants will need to have the following:
- Minimum 1 year experience (desirable but not essential with the right attitude)
- Events & Functions experience
- Excellent presentation & customer service
- Reliable with a friendly attitude and great smile!
- Flexible hours (including weekends)
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate
- Right to work in Australia
