We are seeking individuals to join our team working amidst breathtaking scenery in some of the South Island’s most beautiful and remote locations. Our crews operate mostly in the Canterbury region, but we also have regular ongoing projects from the Otago region down south all the way up to the Marlborough region in the north. These physically demanding roles require fitness and stamina but reward you with incredible outdoor adventures whilst making a long-lasting impact in the protection of our native New Zealand.
Environmental Field Operator
This role will introduce you to Wilding Pine Control. You will learn a variety of methods to eradicate the growing Wilding Pine Population within New Zealand. This role will require working away and staying at shared accommodation usually from Monday to Friday.
- Training Provided: Comprehensive training in the use of chainsaws, Health and Safety protocols, and potentially 4WD vehicles and LUVs for the right applicant.
- Experience Welcomed: Previous experience in chainsaw operations, first aid or relevant qualifications in conservation or pest plant control are advantageous but not essential as you will be trained on the job.
- Accommodation and Meals: Whilst working away we provide shared accommodation and 3 meals per day.
- Overnight Allowance and Paid Travel: We pay an overnight allowance for each night away and we pay for travelling time to and from the job sites.
