Crop Worker – Port Augusta

We are seeking applications for up to 140 casual Crop Workers. You must be available to start between June and November 2024.

Responsibilities and roles of positions, include, but are not limited to:

  • Meeting industry productivity standards in regular crop work tasks such as harvesting
  • Fruit grading
  • Quality control
  • Production/packing and other duties as depicted by management

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Comply with company objectives and to reach targets set by management
  • Focus on high quality and efficiency in the following areas; Crop Planting, Truss Pruning and Support, Pollinating, Plant Lowering and Clipping, De-leafing, Harvest and Packout

Required skills and capabilities:

  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to demonstrate repetitive roles
  • Exceptional attitude towards work and maintain high work ethics
  • Be reliable and have high levels of communication
  • Able to work autonomously, as well as within a team environment
  • Pass pre-employment Medical and drug and alcohol
  • Have 100 points ID (Birth Certificate and Drivers Licence)
  • Australian Work Rights

Employment Conditions:

  • You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with employment starting between June and November for a 9 month period
  • Work will be Monday to Friday, day shift only
  • Some Saturday work may be required
  • Employees will paid Level 1 of the Horticulture Award 2020

Employment will be subject to pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol testing.
