Chef – Queenstown

We are looking for a passionate chef wanting to cook great food within one of New Zealand’s most idyllic locations. Back dropped by the Remarkables Mountain Range, Jack’s Point is a truly authentic and unique destination from which to experience Queenstown’s stunning scenery.  We are situated on the edge of Lake Tewa, surrounded by Jack’s Point championship golf course which is billed as one of the world’s most spectacular golf courses.

The restaurant’s focus is on providing our customers with seasonally inspired food & beverage menus 7 days a week.

We’re currently looking for a short-term chef to join our team  for a two-week period from Monday 2nd June to Friday 13th June.
While this is a temporary position with no guarantee of ongoing work, there is potential for longer-term opportunities depending on how things evolve.

The role would be Monday to Friday, with shifts running from 10:30am until close (around 6:30pm, and 7:30pm or later on Fridays).

There are a few key things we are looking for:

  • Experience as a chef in a Commis/Chef de Partie role
  • Ability to thrive in a busy kitchen environment
  • The skill to be able to run a section confidently
  • Comfortable working in an open kitchen environment and interacting with guests
  • An interest in NZ cuisine
