Our dedicated team is looking for reliable catering assistant preferably one that can make coffee, delivering first rate service, excellent food, to our clients and customers. Your efforts will support the team to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients – and help us succeed as a business. Casual hours will be 7am -3.30pm, between Monday to Friday ( 2 or 3 days a week).
At Te Puni Kokiri, Lampton Quay,
Additional hours at other sites would be available for the right applicant.
This will involve:
- Customer Service, selling food from a mobile food trolley, Coffee making
- Cleaning, dishes ,function catering service.
- Cleaning kitchens, food preparation areas.
- Packing food and beverage trays for functions
- Manual scrubbing and washing may also at times be required.
- Service of meals / drinks to clients and customers.
What we are looking for
- Secondary education is a must.
- NZQF Level 1 qualification or AQF Certificate (or overseas equivalent) is desirable – but not a requirement.
- Food Handlers Certificate is desirable – but again not a requirement.
- Experience working in a cafeteria environment is desirable.
- Experience in a function’s environment is desirable.
- An ability to be flexible with a smile and positive outlook.
- Barista skills ideal.
