We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in our South Melbourne Market store. This is a casual position, offering a flexible schedule across weekends. As part of our friendly retail team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service.
What you’ll be doing
- Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Accurately processing customer purchases and handling cash and card payments
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked display
- Handling and preparing meat for the display window
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to handle cash accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, patient and helpful attitude when dealing with customers
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability to work during store hours, mainly across weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
