Position Title: Cafe Worker
Position Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cafe and Bar Worker to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our cafe, you will provide exceptional service to our customers, ensure smooth daily operations, and contribute to a pleasant dining experience. This position offers a minimum of 30 hours of work per week, with an hourly rate ranging from $25 to $30, based on experience and skills.
Key Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and ensure they have an enjoyable experience.
- Take and process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
Food and Beverage Service:
- Prepare and serve beverages, with attention to quality and presentation.
- Prepare, cook and serve food menu items, following hygiene and safety standards.
- Ensure beverage displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
Cash Handling:
- Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle transactions accurately.
- Balance the cash register at the end of shifts and report any discrepancies.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the café, including dining areas, kitchens, and toilets.
- Assist with regular cleaning duties, including washing dishes, cleaning tables, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
Stock Management:
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and restocking as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
Minimum Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Be willing to obtain a certified managers certificate at the employers cost.
- Basic cash handling skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Commitment to following health and safety regulations, including food safety practices.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Hourly Rate:
- $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
