The Opportunity
We’re seeking a passionate Café Bar All-Rounder to join our island team — someone who thrives on connecting with people, takes pride in every coffee and cocktail served, and wants to embrace a truly unique lifestyle on King Island.
This is a hands-on hospitality role perfect for someone with experience as both a barista and bartender, and a love for quality ingredients, authentic service, and community spirit.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare consistently excellent coffee, beverages and light food service
- Mix and present cocktails using King Island Distillery’s award-winning spirits
- Share the King Island Distillery story with guests and visitors
- Manage tasting sessions and product knowledge with professionalism and warmth
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and customer service
- Assist with day-to-day operations including stock control and merchandising
About You
You’ll fit right in if you:
- Have previous barista and/or bar experience
- Hold a current RSA
- Are confident, reliable and take initiative in a fast-paced, boutique environment
- Enjoy engaging with customers and telling the story behind great local products
- Have an interest in fine food, spirits and cocktails
- Value teamwork, pride in presentation and genuine hospitality
- Are open to island life — slower pace, stronger community, stunning environment
