Do you have experience as a beekeeper, a strong interest in Beekeeping Or with experience in agriculture and machinery? Then a position as a Seasonal Beekeeper may be for you. As a Beekeeper not only will you assist in the preservation of Native Flora you will also play a role in the natural production and preparation of honey, beeswax and other useful bee products.
Beekeeping Australia is currently offering seasonal jobs in Beekeeping. Beekeepers will learn within large commercial apiary at a range of sites throughout QLD. This is a casual position based in Kingaroy that will involve work away from home in various locations.
The successful candidate will learn all aspects of bee keeping including;
- Breeding and maintaining a healthy bee population;
- Monitoring and managing hive hygiene and bee health;
- Extraction of honey and other bee products; and
- Hive maintenance including some woodwork.
The successful application will need-
- An interest and some experience with Bees
- Work rights within Australia (working holiday Visa, or residency ect.)
- The ability to travel overnight and work a range of shifts;
- The capacity to undertake heavy manual tasks including lifting and carrying;
- Have a Manual car License
- Forklift, bobcat and chainsaw experience preferred.
