Roles of a barista:

• Preparing Coffee and Beverages:

  • Brewing coffee, espresso, and tea drinks.
  • Creating specialty drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, and iced beverages.
  • Frothing milk and creating milk-based drinks with precision.

• Customer Service:

  • Greeting and taking orders from customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Offering recommendations on drinks or food items based on customer preferences.
  • Providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.

• Maintaining Cleanliness:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing coffee machines, grinders, counters, and other equipment.
  • Washing dishes and utensils used in preparing drinks.
  • Ensuring the coffee bar area is tidy and organized, including refilling supplies when needed.

• Operating Coffee Equipment:

  • Managing and operating espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other coffee-making equipment.
  • Troubleshooting basic equipment malfunctions and performing minor repairs if needed.
