Roles of a barista

• Preparing Coffee and Other Beverages:

  • Brewing coffee using various machines like espresso machines, drip coffee makers, and French presses.
  • Steaming milk and creating milk-based drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos.
  • Preparing cold beverages like iced coffee, frappes, and other specialty drinks.
  • Ensuring the consistency and quality of drinks with every order.

• Customer Service:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking their orders.
  • Offering drink recommendations and informing customers about menu items.
  • Handling cash and card payments, giving correct change, and managing the register.
  • Addressing any customer complaints or concerns professionally and calmly.

• Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:

  • Cleaning coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers.
  • Keeping the work area, including counters, floors, and storage areas, tidy and sanitized.
  • Replenishing supplies (e.g., coffee beans, syrups, milk) and ensuring stock is well-organized.
