About the Role:
ABLP is seeking dedicated individuals to join the Husbandry Team. This role provides an exciting entry point into the thriving aquaculture industry. No prior experience is required—just bring a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided as you contribute to the care and maintenance of our lobster stock and facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of lobster stock in a controlled environment.
- Perform routine care such as feeding, inspecting, transferring, and treating lobsters as needed.
- Conduct regular upkeep of aquaculture systems, including cleaning tanks, monitoring equipment, and maintaining production areas.
- Observe and document animal health, growth, and behaviour; report findings to senior staff.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) guidelines.

Position Details:
- Full-time role: Minimum 38 hours per week.
- Roster: 4-week rolling roster, including night shifts, weekends, and some public holidays.
- Requirements:
- Current driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Must be an Australian resident or hold full work rights in Australia.
- Compliance with a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy (pre/post-employment medical testing may be required).
Working Environment:
- Dynamic, hands-on work in conditions ranging from 25-30°C with high humidity.
- Tasks performed in low-light conditions (torches provided) and occasional work at heights.
